Have you ever opened your Bible and thought... "Where do I even begin?"
Friend... you're not alone.
Whether you're opening your Bible for the very first time, finding your way back after some time away, or simply wondering what it means to have a relationship with Jesus... welcome.
I'm so glad you found your way here.
If no one has told you this lately, let me be the first:
You don't have to have it all figured out.
You don't have to know every book of the Bible.
You don't need the perfect quiet time.
You don't have to understand everything before you begin.
You just have to be willing to open your Bible.
That's enough.
If We Were Having Coffee... ☕
If we were sitting across the table together, coffee in hand and Bibles open, this is what I'd tell you:
Don't overthink it.
God isn't waiting for you to become an expert before He meets you. He meets you exactly where you are—with every question, every doubt, every hope, and every messy part of your story.
Faith isn't about having all the answers.
It's about taking one small step toward Jesus, and then another.
Some days you'll read a whole chapter.
Some days you'll only read a verse.
Some days your prayer will simply be, "God, help me."
Every one of those moments matters.
So give yourself grace.
Show up.
Keep opening your Bible.
Trust that God is doing more than you can see.
Where Should I Start?
If you're wondering where to begin, let me make it simple.
📖 Start with the Gospel of John.
If I were sitting across the table from you with our Bibles open, this is exactly where I'd tell you to begin.
The Gospel of John introduces us to who Jesus is, why He came, and just how deeply He loves us. Read one chapter each day, and don't worry about understanding everything. Simply ask God to show you something new as you read.
If you don't have a Bible yet, don't let that stop you.
I've been using the YouVersion Bible App for many, many years, and it's still my favorite way to read God's Word, follow Bible reading plans, and keep Scripture close wherever I go. It was created by Life.Church, the same church where my faith has grown, where I was baptized, where my kids serve and where the seeds of Bible & Bloom were planted.

Before you open your Bible, pray this simple prayer:
"God, open my heart and help me understand what You want me to learn today. Help me know You more through Your Word. Amen."
That's it.
No perfect words.
No pressure.
Just you, your Bible, and a God who can't wait to spend time with you.
A Few Things to Remember
🌸 You don't have to be perfect.
📖 You don't have to know everything.
🙏 God welcomes honest questions.
🤍 Small steps are still steps.
✨ Every time you open your Bible, you're growing.
Before You Go...
I want you to know something:
I'm cheering for you.
Not because I think you'll get everything right, but because I know what can happen when someone chooses to spend time with God.
One verse can bring peace.
One chapter can change your perspective.
One conversation with Jesus can change your life.
So keep showing up.
Keep asking questions.
Keep growing.
And remember...
Let's bloom together. 🌸
